Well, I finally spent some time on my myspace profile layout to make it look a little more like this website. It does take some time, especially if you have no clue what each section is named but after studying someone else’s layout, I figured some of it out.

EFA and the EFA Store has been featured in the Storque. The article is written by ciaralovesyou, EtsyTeams, sarawearsskirts, and is titled Etsy Teams Craftivism Special: Etsy For Animals! Tantalizing Stitches is also briefly mentioned!

Tantalizing Stitches has now moved from Saipan to California. This change, means that shipments will generally be faster (due to faster postal service) and I may attend some craft faires.

Vivametal has created the EFA Spotlight! treasury and included Crocheted Jane Handbag in Blue Chenille.

Tantalizing Linen Blend Wash TowelsBecause the customer purchased one of my wash towels in the EFA store and requested three more, I decided to donate all the proceeds (less transaction costs) for the other three towels to the Help the Puppies Campaign! That helped in reaching the goal of completely covering the veterinarian expenses but we are far from the goal. I have donated another wash towel to the EFA store and another one is available at Tantalizing Stitches store so check it out!

AWBAR donationAWBAR donation
There are only four more days until the AWBAR raffle! I’ve donated some of my crocheted flowers to the raffle basket. Take a look!

The EFA Store opened its doors on etsy.com on September 5, 2007. During the month of September, we’ve received 64 donations, 28 of which sold during that month. The total net sales amounted to $195.08, of which $183.08 has been donated to the September Charity of the Month, the Humane Society of Jefferson County.

Grammy’s Flower WatermelonI donated some of my Grammy’s Tropical Brooches to the AWBAR Gift Basket Raffle. If you go to the AWBAR website or AWBAR blog, you can see that it is included in the middle basket. You can also see all the items included here.

Abandoned Wild Babies Animal Rescue (AWBAR) is operator and owner, Amanda Smith, who rehabilitates ducks, raccoons, squirrels, opossums, rabbits, small birds and other small animals. The organization operates solely on private donations. AWBAR is NOT a non for profit organization nor is AWBAR attached to any other organization. This is out of love we have for animals.

You can purchase one raffle ticket for $1 or six raffle tickets for $5.

Help Lacy Love at the lunastar Shop
——————-
You can help by contributing to the LacyFund, adopting one of Lacy Love’s pups, and by sharing this story to your friends.
——————-

Carrie at the lunastar shop on etsy is fund raising for her cockapoo Lacy Love who is now a mother of eight puppies.

Unfortunately, Lacy Love had seizures from Eclampsia just 4 hours after delivery. Carrie had to rush her to the ER vet. They gave her the medicine she needed to save her life but could not give an RX for continued care as Carrie could not afford the expense. Lacy Love is still at risk as she sits panting and her heart racing and with a fever of 104.

Eclampsia is called “milk fever” because the calcium has been depleted so badly from the body that she is unable to uptake any oral replacement. So, she needs calcium shots. Her heart races because calcium is one of the minerals that regulates the heart beat.

Carrie has been feeding Lacy Love tums and cottage cheese as prescribed by the vet and stays up with Lacy Love all night.

She essentially needs a real vet to give continued care and to get an RX for the calcium she needs after a blood draw. She only received emergency care the 2 nights post seizure event. Lacy Love was turned away by two vet clinics already because of the “pay up front” requirement.

Currently, Lacy Love’s puppies are being hand fed by Carrie’s mother to keep the puppies from feeding from Lacy Love. The puppies are a cocker spaniel, poodle, chihuahua. They are white with black cow spots and are expected to grow to no more than 18 pounds.

You can read more about Carrie’s story at her shop and in the forums.
