I made this cute AmiNeko a while ago. Its from the Japanese book Amigurumi Vol. 4. Instead of using plastic eyes, I used yarn for the eyes. Her body is made of 100% wool and her eyes and nose are made of 100% acrylic. She didn’t like the idea of a collar so I sewed up a quick little scarf.
My boyfriend and I take turns babysitting her.
Last December, I made Asako-chan for a young girl as part of the Christmas gift donation program held by the Division of Youth Services (DYS) of the Northern Mariana Islands (Saipan). I hope the child enjoyed it. I mainly followed this tutorial (right column says “amineko”) but I did make some adjustments and added a collar, punk hair and eyeglasses.
